The national representative organizations of employers and employees invite you to a press conference regarding the need for urgent measures to limit the damage to the Bulgarian economy from the surge in electricity and other energy prices.
The event will be held from 11:00 on January 9, 2025 (Thursday) at the BTA press club.
Driven by their goals to protect the interests of the Bulgarian economy and workers, the social partners of the Republic of Bulgaria, concerned by the lack of clarity on key economic indicators for the coming year, demand an immediate decision by the authorities to continue compensating for the extremely high prices of electricity throughout the calendar year 2025.
The press conference will be attended by:
- Vasil Velev, Chairman of the Board of the Association of Industrial Capital in Bulgaria (BICA),
- Dobri Mitrev, Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Industrial Chamber (BIC),
- Vasil Todorov, Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI),
- Kiril Domuschiev, Chairman of the Board of the Confederation of Employers and Industrialists in Bulgaria (CIEB),
- Todor Kapitanov, Vice President of the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB),
- Ioannis Partheniotis, Vice President of the Confederation of Labor "Podkrepa".
