BICA is co-organizer of a scientific conference on the sustainability of human resources as a factor for a competitive economy


On May 19, 2025, the scientific conference "Sustainability of Human Resources for a Competitive Economy" will be held in the Great Hall of the Institute for Economic Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The forum will bring together leading experts, scientists and business representatives to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the labor market in the context of a digital and sustainable transition.

Among the main topics of the conference are:

Forecasting the skills of the future and adapting educational and professional strategies to new forms of employment.;
Digital transformation and its impact on human resource management;
The transition to sustainability and its impact on the workforce and industries.
The event is organized by the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) in partnership with the Institute for Economic Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Institute for Sustainable Economic Development (ISUIR).

The conference will offer a platform for the exchange of good practices and innovative approaches in human resources management, with an emphasis on increasing the competitiveness of the Bulgarian economy.

The deadline for submitting an application with an abstract (Appendix 1) for participation in the scientific conference of authors and author teams is 28.02.2025 (Friday). Participant name, institution, title and abstract of the material (up to 10 lines) are filled in in Bulgarian and English. Applications will be considered and approved by 20.03.2025.

The deadline for sending the full text of the material (according to the requirements of Appendix 2) is 30.05.2025. Each author or co-author submits only one material, which must correspond to the topic of the conference and be: a report (up to 18,000 characters), an article (up to 36,000 characters), a study (up to 63,000 characters) or a case study (up to 27,000 characters). They will be presented within 5 minutes during the event and will be published in a collection. Only materials that were presented at the conference, meet the requirements and have undergone a peer review process are published. The collection will be referenced in RePEc and registered in the national reference list of NACID.
