BICA and UТ will train unemployed people for sectors with labor shortages

The Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) and the University of transport "Todor Kableshkov" signed today a cooperation agreement under the "Road to Success" program, combining their efforts and capacity to train qualified personnel and ensure employment for people from vulnerable groups on the labor market. The document was signed by the Rector of UT Prof. Dr. Eng. Krasimir Krastanov and by Dobrin Ivanov - Executive Director of BICA and Manager of BICA Consult EOOD.

The partnership is implemented within the framework of the "Road to Success" program, part of the National Employment Action Plan in 2025, which aims to provide training and employment for people from vulnerable groups on the labor market, as well as to assist businesses in dealing with the labor shortage.

For another year, the trainings in Sofia will be held at University of transport "Todor Kableshkov", which will provide its modern training facilities and a team of experienced teachers. 60 people will be trained in two STEM professions with a focus on sustainability - "Economist-Informatics" and "Electrician", as well as in the specialty "Associate in a Small and Medium Business".

The "Path to Success" program is being implemented throughout the country and will enable employers to hire employees with up-to-date knowledge and practical skills acquired in accordance with the needs of the real economy. It is expected that over 800 unemployed people will participate in training in various professions and specialties, with at least 300 of them starting work after graduation. The program is aimed at young people up to 29 years of age, people over 55 years of age, long-term unemployed people, people with low or no qualifications and people with permanent disabilities.

Through this partnership, and UT strive to give a real chance for a professional start to people outside the labor market, as well as to support the development of business in Bulgaria by providing prepared and motivated employees.
