In recent weeks, the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) has repeatedly warned that the draft state budget for 2026 poses serious economic risks for businesses and workers. Due to the lack of real debate and consideration of the arguments of employer organizations, the BICA actively participated in the protest held on November 26, 2025.
The Chairman of BICA, Rumen Radev, emphasized that the current draft budget shifts the burden of political populism onto businesses and workers, discourages investments, slows down economic growth and creates the conditions for the expansion of the shadow economy. He called for the draft budget for 2026 not to be adopted in this form and presented specific alternative measures that would ensure a sustainable and fair distribution of public funds, without additional burdening businesses and citizens.
BICA expresses its gratitude to all those who joined the protest, demonstrated an active civic position and supported the efforts for a sustainable, stable and competitive economy, financial and national security and fair incomes.
