The Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association (BICA) cordially invites you to a press conference to be held on 22 December 2025 at 11:00 a.m., during which the annually calculated Composite Index “Economy in the Open” and Sub-index “Employment in the Open” for 2024 will be presented.
Along with the current values of the Index and the Sub-index and their historical data, the presentation will cover the economic and social aspects of the transition of the economy and employment into the formal sector, based on statistical and sociological analyses. It will also address current trends in the development of the shadow economy in Bulgaria, the dynamics of formal economic activity, and changes in labour market practices.
The press conference will be moderated by Assoc. Prof. Milena Angelova, PhD, Chief Secretary of BICA and Head of Project BG05SFPR002-1.005-0004 “A Comprehensive Approach to Ensuring Motivated and Qualified Human Resources”.
